I found a neat article in American Libraries Direct about haunted libraries. http://www.ilovelibraries.org/news/topstories/haunted.cfm Alas, Connecticut has only admitted to having one haunted library, Cyrenius H. Booth Library in Newtown. Has anyone else heard of any?
Students at Hartford College for Women, my former alma mater and first place of employment, used to say that the attic in Butterworth Hall was a bit unnerving, especially after dark. The library stored the back issues of journals in the attic and student workers would have to walk all the way through the attic to get to the three library rooms at the south end of the building. I never saw anything, but I would say that I never felt alone up there.
