Budget woes

Education is a hot topic this year. How can we do more to educate our kids for the job market? How can we partner with the schools? One of the ways Booth & Dimock Memorial Library partners is thru our summer reading programs. At the end of the year the schools give us their Nutmeg books to circulate for the summer. We buy the ones we don’t own. Our website http://www.coventrypl.org lists information for the student and the parent. And here’s where the state budget comes into play-ReQuest is the only outside source besides the school to get the required summer reading books. If education is a top priority, ReQuest should be too.
