C-Car Volume Study, March 17-March 21, 2014

ConnecticarBelow are instructions for the Ccar Volume Study that will be taking place next week. In addition to counting the number of items your library receives next week, we are asking you to also count the number of bins that your library receives. Read on for the details…

Instructions

Please count all items and all bins delivered by Ccar the week of March 17, that is from Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 21. You only need to count incoming items and bins – not outgoing material.

Count all items and all bins delivered on these days no matter when you unpack them.
[For example:
If delivered on Friday, March 14, but you don’t unpack it until Monday, March 17 in the morning? – Don’t count them.
If delivered Friday, March 21, but you don’t unpack it until Monday, March 24? – Count them.]

Items: Count each item individually, i.e. anything you would circulate as one item.
[For example:
CD boxed set = 1 item
3 books elasticized together= 3 items]

Bins: Count the number of bins that your library receives. Include boxes, if you receive a box in lieu of a bin. Count a bin even if it is half full.

Question: If Ccar misses a delivery – should you make up for it using a day the next week?
Answer: No.

THEN: Enter results in Survey Monkey at:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DQFNCNN

You may enter the data each day or you may save up your numbers and enter them all at once at the end of the survey period. We will keep the survey open through Friday, April 4.

If you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you in advance for your participation.

Regards,
Steve
