NEW CT ILL Loan policy

The latest version of the CT ILL Loan Policy is available at:

I’ll be re-publishing the policy again next Tuesday, which is just in time for the date the reQuest statewide catalog goes offline for the summer.

In the current version of the policy, I added a column (column E) for “Pre-Populated E-mail.” When you click one of the “E-mail Form” cells, it should (theoretically) open a new e-mail message with:

* the “To” field pre-populated with the e-mail address,

* the subject field pre-populated with “ILL Request -”

* the body of the message pre-populated with these fields: Title:, Author:, Format:, Shelf Loc / Call #:, Other Info, and Ship to (incl. Ccar #).

This feature unfortunately will not work with all e-mail programs. It seems to work with most desktop versions of Outlook, but I’m not sure about other e-mail programs.

If you’ve submitted your library’s ILL data to the policy, please double-check your library’s info. If you want me to make any changes to your library’s entry, please let me know as soon as possible and no later than noon on Monday, June 29.

Thank you to the 170 libraries that are willing to lend over the summer and that have submitted their ILL policy information.

If you haven’t submitted your library’s data, there’s still (a little) time to do so…

If your library is willing to provide interlibrary loans to other libraries in Connecticut this summer and is willing to receive lending requests by e-mail, fax, or phone, please go to:

and complete the survey by noon on Monday, June 29 so that I can include your library in the next version of the policy.
